About us

Discover a rich river and religious heritage, as well as magnificent landscapes of undergrowth and winding roads along the Aulne, on this relatively easy hike! The starting point for this hike, dubbed "La chapelle Saint-Laurent", is the parking lot of the Saint-Coulitz town hall, from where the 10 km route begins.
To begin, take three right-hand bends around the center of Saint-Coulitz. Then turn left onto the main road for 800 metres. At the Guivin crossroads, turn left in the direction of Troboa, keeping an eye out for the wind turbines.
Once you've reached the charming little Troboa calvary cross, turn left and go straight on until you reach the Saint-Laurent chapel, also known as "Troboa". Once you've discovered the chapel, retrace your steps for 40 metres, then take the path leading to the fountain. This construction is remarkable for its use of local slate, with no mortar used.
Continue down this sunken path through the undergrowth to the counter-pier of the Nantes-Brest canal. This takes you along the River Aulne for 4.3 km, passing through the Prat Hir and Toul ar Rodo locks. At the Toul ar Rodo lock, turn left up a path through undergrowth.
Return via the Pennagour road. On reaching the village, take time to admire the church before returning to the town hall parking lot, the final stop on this pleasant hike.
