Le Ménez Hom
Why take advantage?
At the entrance to the Crozon peninsula, the 330-metre-high Ménez-Hom promontory offers panoramic views over the Bay of Douarnenez, Pointe Saint-Mathieu, the Brest harbour, the Aulne estuary and the Monts d'Arrée... It is located in the extension of the Black Mountains.
It's also the starting point for a number of hiking trails, a favorite spot for paragliding enthusiasts, and a popular place for model builders to fly their machines!
How to get there: by car, on the Châteaulin-Crozon road (D887), then follow the signs
What to see: the Sainte-Marie du Ménez Hom chapel, a listed historic monument.
What to do: the interpretation trail "Sur les pas du Roi Marc'h", which passes through Ménez Hom and ends in Locronan.
