Iron Age stele

A pebble at the top of the stele! What on earth is this strange idea?
Well, it's a very old custom, according to which young people who throw a pebble and get it to stay there are guaranteed a future marriage. A project? A desire? Try your luck and find out if your wish will be granted - or not! -.

Standing 3.25 m high, the Stèle Sainte-Barbe (also known as the "spindle" or "cattail") dates back to the Iron Age (450 BC). It was probably originally used for Celtic cultural ceremonies.
