About us

The "Bois et Rivières" circuit, which stretches from Saint-Ségal to Pont-de-Buis, offers a magnificent hike with undulating gradients. The partly shaded aspect of the path along the undergrowth is particularly appreciated, offering a peaceful atmosphere along the banks of the Douffine, one of the Aulne's tributaries.

The hike starts from the center of Saint-Ségal. Following the signs for Cosquérou, the 12 km hike begins. The route takes you through sunken lanes, undergrowth and the picturesque windings of the Douffine, passing by a fish farm (which is unfortunately not open to visitors). You can also admire the beautiful old houses near the village of Pont Real. The path takes us under (and over!) the viaduct, before returning to Saint-Ségal along the Pont-de-Buis-lès-Quimer'ch housing estates. An added bonus is a sports trail in the undergrowth!

Focus on... The Douffine, a jewel of nature. This charming little river, a tributary of the Aulne, rises in Brasparts on the south-western side of Roc'h Cléguer. It is also known as a fishing spot, offering a fairly technical and challenging course for enthusiasts.
The Douffine wetlands include the 80 hectares of marshland, locally known as "La Palud", which attracted the interest of the Conseil Départemental du Finistère as part of their 2015-2025 scheme for sensitive natural areas.

Did you know? In the history of Pont-de-Buis, everything started with the powder factory!
