Saint-Milliau Church
Why take advantage?
The old part of the church, dedicated to St. Stephen, is limited to the south porch dating from 1585. The church was then completely rebuilt in the 19th century in neo-Gothic style and dedicated to Saint Miliau, King of Cornouaille in the 6th century. Its bell tower, built between 1874 and 1875 and featuring a gallery, houses three beautiful bells.
Inside, the choir features an interesting gilded lead high altar by Philippe Kaeppelin, dating from 1965. The statue of the Virgin and Child was transferred from the chapel of Notre-Dame de la Clarté.
The calvary, dating from 1650, features high-quality sculptures of various saints. It surmounts the 1925 war memorial. [ After Anne Dietrich ]
