Why take advantage?

The church is named after the parish's patron saint, Edern. The steeple, topped by a bell tower, dates from 1606. The beautifully crafted porch (1662) is considered by Waquet (Breton art) to be one of the 26 great classical porches of the Quimper and Léon diocese. Inside, some fine old statues, including those of Saint Edern riding his legendary stag, and a granite pietà. There's also the 16th-century tomb of Saint Edern and a Rosary altarpiece, whose central painting bears the signature of Y. Quintin and dated 1660.
The ossuary, to the south-west of the church, features a harmonious granite facade. It features a Renaissance-style doorway and four round-arched bays topped with putti, and framed by bas-reliefs with skulls.
The cemetery calvary, which Couffon dates from the 17th century, features a mid-shaft statue of Saint Edern on his stag.
One of the particularities of the Lannédern parish enclosure is that its cemetery is located within the enclosure.
