Why take advantage?

This chapel, formerly known as Guern-Illis or Illis ar Vern, is located 5 km west of the village, on the old road from Châteaulin to Pleyben, in the former fiefdom of Tréziguidy.
It was founded in the 16th century in response to a vow made by one of the lords of the château de Tréziguidy during his captivity in the Crusades. This vow was made during his captivity during the Crusades.
Built around 1577, rebuilt in 1689, it underwent major restoration work in 1878.
The current building is in the shape of a Latin cross with a canted chevet. Flamboyant fenestration has been preserved in the nave's southern longère, while the west gable is topped by a small, one-chambered Gothic bell tower without gallery, rebuilt in the 19th century.
The high altar features a polychrome wooden statue of Notre-Dame de Gwénily.
