Fine sand as far as the eye can see
Pentrez beach
Located in Saint-Nic, this is the longest beach in the Bay of Douarnenez. 3 kilometers of fine sand... nothing less! There's no risk of getting stuck next to your towel! It's THE young, family-friendly beach par excellence, supervised in summer, easily accessible from the free parking lot, where you can enjoy a safe swim (a tiralo is available for people with reduced mobility), sample an Italian-style ice cream, build a huge sandcastle, or get a little adrenaline going on a sand yacht or pedal go-kart session!
Your next favorite
The beach at Sainte-Anne-la-Palud
In Plonévez-Porzay, a favorite beach in Finistère, supervised in summer and protected by a vast dune field that adds to its charm. Here too, the length of the beach makes it ideal for sand yachting. The beautiful waves are a delight for surfers. It's also a starting point for stand-up paddle and sea kayak excursions. A tiralo is also available for swimming. At low tide, climb up to Île Salgren for a magnificent view of the beach from above!
A great spot for gliding
Pors ar Vag Beach
Set in an unspoilt cove overlooking the Crozon peninsula on the right and the Tal Ar Grip headland on the left, Pors Ar Vag, located in Plomodiern, which has been awarded the "ville surf" label, has an undeniable charm all of its own. Board sports, water-walking, swimming and relaxing on the fine sand are the main activities! In fact, it's the ideal beach to start surfing, in complete safety as it's a supervised beach. It's also here that you can go sea kayaking to explore the sea caves beneath the cliffs.
Between cliffs, sports and family bathing
Kervel beach
Its location in Plonévez-Porzay, south of the Bay of Douarnenez, offers a panoramic view of the cliffs, from which you'll probably see a few paragliders taking to the water! Kervel is ideal for combining family bathing with board sports. It's the perfect spot to try out stand-up paddling, as well as windsurfing and kitesurfing! A tiralo is also available on this supervised beach in summer.
For athletes
Lestrevet beach
Like Pors Ar Vag in Plomodiern, Lestrevet beach is ideal for surfing. It's also a popular spot for sand yachting, buggy kiting and battle archery. Stay until the end of the day to admire the sunset over the Bay of Douarnenez: a magical moment!
Perfect for chilling out
Kervijen beach
We love this quiet family beach in Plomodiern. It's the beach to stroll on summer evenings, with your feet in the water. In winter or on rainy days, when the tide's out, the whole family slips on their boots and foulies: the kids will love watching the crabs and shrimps in the little pools, or getting curious around the shipwreck. Overhead, you may catch a glimpse of the colorful sails of paragliders. To extend your walk, discover the birds in the marsh with the Grumpy association!
In the quiet
Ty Anquer beach
In Ploéven, this little beach nestled right up against Île Salgren is ideal for spending some quiet family time. Île Salgren is one of our top viewpoints in the Menez-Hom Atlantique: at low tide, you can climb to the top of the island and admire the magnificent view over the long beach of Sainte-Anne-la-Palud!
A more confidential spot
Caméros beach
A little gem! L'anse de Caméros, protected by the pointe de Kéréon, is a more confidential spot, sheltered from the waves, where you can relax on the fine sand and take a dip. This beach, located at the foot of the cliffs in the commune of Saint-Nic, will appeal to lovers of peace and quiet. Look up: you might just see a paraglider flying over the beach!
