Calvary of the Chasse Saint-Hubert
Why take advantage?
This massive ensemble, in Kersanton stone, in the center of the enclosure of a much more recent parish church, is unique in Brittany. Commissioned by the grand bailiff Jehan Le gentil de Barvedel from Ploéven, it depicts Saint Hubert praying before a white stag, carrying a cross between his antlers. This devotional figure was reputed to protect against everyday dangers.
